Exciting Upcoming Sports Card Releases in 2024

Excitement is brewing in the sports card collecting community as a lineup of highly anticipated releases is set to hit shelves in 2024. From baseball to football, basketball to hockey, collectors are gearing up to get their hands on the latest sets filled with autographs, relics, and rare cards. First up, the 2024 Topps Museum Baseball is scheduled to be released on July 31, 2024. This collection is known for its blend of autographs, relics, and high-quality base cards. Each Master box contains four mini-boxes, with each mini-box featuring one autograph or relic, three base cards, and one base parallel. The box breakdown includes an autographed relic, an on-card autograph card, a Quad Relic, and a Relic, all for the price of $399.99 on the Topps website.

Next, football fans can look forward to the 2023 Donruss Optic Football, set to release on August 2, 2023, just as the 2024 training camps heat up. The Hobby box includes 20 packs with four cards per pack, featuring one autograph, 20 Rated Rookies, four inserts, and 12 parallels, nine of which are numbered.

On August 7, 2024, collectors can get their hands on the 2024 Topps Finest Baseball, which introduces a new format by replacing two mini-boxes with six standard packs of ten cards each. The box includes two autographs and a Base Set of 300 cards in varying degrees of scarcity, for an approximate price of $265 online.

Also releasing on the same day is the 2023-24 Panini Mosaic Basketball, making a post-season comeback with 10 packs per Hobby box and 15 cards per pack. The box features 20 inserts, two Prizms, and one autograph, with various autograph subsets available. Collectors can also look out for Hobby Exclusive parallels and new White parallels this year, with pricing to be checked closer to the release day.

Hitting the shelves alongside the basketball set on August 7, 2024, is the 2023-24 Upper Deck SPx Hockey. This release includes Connor Bedard rookies and comes in a single pack per box format, with five cards per box consisting of one autograph and four memorabilia and/or tech cards. The Base Set boasts 200 cards with lower numbered parallels, along with special cards like #’d Rookie Auto Jersey, Rookie Auto Patch cards, and Retro versions celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the iconic 2003-04 SPx rookie design.
